Default Metal flakes in tranny oil

I was checking my oil level in my cr125 yesterday and I found some metal specks in it. I flushed out the used oil but should I be worried? Do you guys know any reason why there would be metal in my oil or how to fix it?

Not to worry. The flakes are normal and come from the Aluminum disc
in your clutch pack. They will be there everytime you change your oil
(unless you switch to steel plates). Another good reason to change
your tranny oil frequently.

Depending on how much abuse you throw at your clutch you will notice more / or less when it starts coming out looking like the silver surfer then .... you may want to seriously consider replacing it.

Thanks

I concur - no need to freak out. Sounds normal to me.

I'm very happy to hear that. I thought I would have to drop a couple hundred on a new bike.

Well it looks like you blew a head gasket because that oil looks watery, you could have also cracked a head. I might also think I'm looking at something but it turns out to be something else.

you could have also cracked a head or maybe have a water pump seal leak.
