Default K and N Filter for bikes??

I heard that K and N makes filters for bikes. I dont know what kind they r or what, but my freind told me they do to like fit in the airbox, but if they dont, is it ok to put a K and N straight off the carb, with like an outerwear or whatever they r?? I just am looking at options because i found some dirt in the airbox boot, and i wanted to know if it was better to just go straight off the carb, cuz someone told me theres problems with the seals on the CR's. By the way i have a 2002 CR125, if that helps any.

I am not sure for your application, but I run one on my ATV, and it does great.

If you run in dusty conditions, or lots of mud, I don't know if it would be the best for you.

I ride only at the dunes, and I also use an outerware, and it does a great job for me.

Yes, they make adapter kits to run it straight off of the carb, and also to fit inside the airbox (at least for my ride).

I think they probably do for yours too, but you might want to wait to hear from someone who has your bike.

For a dirtbike the best place for a KN filter is in the sand. So if you ride sand then you aren't going to have problems. The best 2 filters i like for dirt/mud/dust are Twin-Air and UNI.

Not saying that KN is bad, it just lets a lot of DUST through it and it doesn't filter as well as the foam filters. But the foams suck in sand, and the KN rocks in sandy conditions.

The only reason im suggesting getting rid of the air box all together is because theres like damp sand and dirt in the air box boot, and i dont know how much of it has already been through my carb. So whats my best way to fix this, is a K and N going to be good for just trailriding, and can it withstand a little bit of water, not like going through ponds, but like the ocasional puddle or two??
