 High idle, surging and spitting oil- 1999 Cr250 I lost my transmission plug last week on my 1999 cr 250 but i stuck a helicoil in the stripped thread and got a new plug in no problem, started the bike up and its idling realy high. surging and was spewin a lot of oil from the exhaust, i thought it might be an air leak at the carb boot but checked and could not find anything, would this be a crankcase seal? and is this a hard job? Cheers for any help at all Gav  |

| Its a good possability its your crank seals. Changing them is fairly simple. You should change both right and left seals when you do it. Last edited by VAL; 06-01-2009 at 11:45 AM. |
