Default Exhaust Collar Leak?

Welp I was cleaning the bike up when I noticed some oil leaking on the exhaust side of the bikes swing arm. I followed it all the way up to what looks like the exhaust collar where the pipe meets the silencer. Are these known to have leaking issues? However my bikes fairly old, 98 cr250

Jus wanna see if any of you have had or seen this same issue.

I've got the same problem on my '97 CR 125, but I've ordered a new seal for it already. I'll let you know if it fixes the problem

Rejetting wouldn't hurt either. I figure that I can say that since I have to do that also

It's called spooge. Your bikes are running to rich. Time to re-jet. And when you do, keep an eye on your plug color.

What color means what when I pull out the plug? Black is too rich, grey is good, brown is too lean?

I know, I know...I'll get around to it someday

Oh yeah, where do you all get your jets from? I've looked around online and most places a pretty danged expensive. I'm talking like $10 for one pilot jet.

I don't mess with my CRF at all. Now my 500 I had to mess around with the jetting everytime I went to the dunes. I kinda had it down to an art after a few times. I buy mine at a local shop. I think Rocky Mountain atv has them. That's pretty spendy bro.

hey man. Instead of starting another thread, I just had a quick question for you. How long should I let my 2 smoker warm up on a cold start? Until the pipe starts getting hot? and how long to keep the choke on?

3-5 minutes. Take the choke off as soon as it will run on it's own. I never liked leaving the choke on my bikes. Had to many issues with them fouling. I have a friend that has a KX 250 and when he fires it up, he raps the piss out of it. I tell him that is a quick way to kill the life of your motor. He's been doing it for awhile now. It's only a matter of time and kaaaaboooooom. Take the time to let your bike warm up. Little love rebs are ok.

my bike begins running on its own immediately and I would wait to feel my pipe heating up, then take off. Guess I havent been giving it enough time though

Depends on how cold it is. When it's warm out, a min or two will do. When it's colder, give her some time to get warm. You know your bike better than any one. All bikes are different eh.
