Default DNA Extreme rims

Anybody know anything about DNA extreme rims? I was looking at a set of them for my cr250 on ebay for 530$ shipped. But Ive never heard of this brand. They have the specs and supposidly they are stronger than stock but I would like to know if they are worth it, or if they're just garbage!

I got a set off ebay for my 500 about 8 months ago, have run them hard and they are great. I go over a lot of logs and big sand whoops and no problems. they also look great. stainless spokes are huge.

I've heard good things about those wheels. If you were to build them yourself the would cost a lot more than that!!

careful use of plastic rim protectors will keep you from scratching up any colored rim when mounting and demounting. use a lot of soap also. takes a little longer but scars all over black rims are not cool.

Great looking 500 devrep.

I've heard good things about the DNA rims as well. Personally, I love the price tag. Seems a lot more reasonable.

cool thx guys. Ive heard good things about these rims also. The only negative thing i have heard is that parts are hard to find...(spokes,bearings,seals). But after making a couple phone calls i talked to DNA techs and they have the parts on hand. Ive also found a few other places online that carry the parts. I think Im gonna place my order tomarrow!

when I got mine on ebay I was able to get them to throw in free 2 rim strips and 3 rimlocks in order to close the deal.

I bought a black rear with a red hub. $260 which I thought was a great deal.

I only have a couple rides on it but so far so good, no complaints at all.

It looks amazing!!

I read the article and they only give them 2 our of 5 stars.

Just going from memory but I believe that their main grief was the spokes on a front rim they were testing kept coming loose, no matter how many times they tightened them.

And they also mentioned that they wouldn't trust something that was so cheap..?!!

I don't believe that they dented one or got it out of true, I just don't think they got the warm and fuzzies from them.

wow, thanks for the review. wouldnt the point of the review here be to assess whether the rims are worth the price?

i wouldnt trust a magazine review like that. hell i wouldnt trust a magazine review anyways. they're all padded with money to give favorable reviews to the guys that fill their ad space, and thats a fact.

all I know is how many logs I've slammed over with mine. no cracks, nothing bent, not out of true, no loose spokes.

Which is the kind of review we like. Not one biased by advertising dollars.
