cylinder trashed

my cylinder was trashed by circlip for the wrist pin just wondering if anyone knows if a 98 cylinder will work on my 96 cr 125 checked oem part numbers they are different by one letter but read in a different forum that 90-99 cylinder would bolt on but that the 90-91 cylinder needed that year piston because the were domed back then not a big deal since its a 98 cylinder just wondering if this sounds correct just looking for second opinion before i purchase the 98 one,its a good deal just want to be SURE any help would be appreciated

as far as I know, it will bolt right on. The porting should be the only difference. If I remember right, the '95 cylinder was what everyone wanted.

thanks good to know, the different porting shpould not hurt performance right
