Default Crank pressing side to side gap

Pressed in the crank and reassembled then before I put the jug on I measured the gap between the crank weights and the case sides. I have .023" on the clutch side and .015" on the stator side. Is it worth taking the effort to take apart clutch side and smacking the crank over to close the gap up,to get them closer to the same gap?

What bike? Usually the crank is bolted, or held with a nut, tight against the right main bearing. I typically seat the right main and install the crank tight against it. Whatever happens on the stator/flywheel side "is what it is". I have heard of people centering the crank, but not sure how you would do it without putting stress on the right main bearing, or possibly knocking the flywheels out of adjustment. The crank is designed with a thrust clearance that allows for slight machining differences in parts. Also there isn't even a factory spec for this. Not sure what the hype is about.
