Default Cracked radiator

My buddy has a rm250 and crashed it and cracked the radiator. What would be the best fix? Solder or an epoxy?

I would just replace it and not take my chances putting a band-aid on it and something happening while im riding and my bike overheat.

Epoxy will work as a temporary fix but I would do as suggested and get it repaired correctly or buy a new or used (working) one.

Good to know..at least I know now incase i do have a cracked radiator at some point. He crashed like 5months ago and hasn't ridden it since (which is a good thing cuz he doesn't maintain his bike at all) last September. Pull the shrouds off last night and filled radiator to find leak...just a hose lol pull off a Y joint. Reconnected and they are holding water just fine. Going to clean the filter, carb, and change all the fluids for him now too...

Off topic question... Do all bikes have the model and year plated mounted on the steering part of the frame? I don't remember seeing it last night when I pulled the shrouds off... It's a Suzuki 250 4 stroke...but I wanna know the year so I can do research on it while I have it.

Was a little confused by your post. Are you saying the leak was in the hoses and it's fixed? Keep in mind that when you warm the bike up, the coolant system will be under pressure, so it may not leak now but if there is a hole in the rads somewhere, you may not find it til you get the system pressurized.

Yea he told me the radiator was crack cuz when he tried to fill it the water would just pour out. And yes I do realize it will be pressurized when up to running temp. In will start it today and double check the radiators them selves. Just need to change the oil and clutch fluid but do not know what to put in it...I'm gonna assume 10w-30 engine oil and use 10w-30 motul for the clutch....
