Default ANY HELP WITH THIS ENGINE NUMBER

hi just got my hands on an old cr125 that iam thinking of doing as a project.i think its an old 1 it has front disc brakes and rear drum.it doesnt have a frame number . but i got a number of the engine which is je01e 602230 any help would be welcome

Can't speak for the bike, but that engine serial is for a '99
CR125.

dodger after looking at photos am convinced its a 1984 frame.does the 99 engine come with an exhaust manifold and a great big carb a will take some pics and post them

After reading your description, I was leaning toward an '84 or '85
but the engine serial for those bikes start with 2500021 for '84 and
2600001 for '85.

The '99 CR125 engine is natural aluminum in color (not black like an
80s engine), and will sport a quad vent (four vent hoses) 36mm
Keihin PJ carb.

i am pretty sure its a 84 going with the stickers on the swing arm and the engine is black in colour . dont no why it has they numbers on the engine. dodger do you no were i can get parts for this year i check that indiana motorcycle dealer place you gave me the link for but most of the stuff is discontiuned.also wat is your thoughts on this year of bike.the bike is a complete mess and i am just wondering if it is worth the hassle and money.i will post pics when it decides too stop raining.
