Default 95cr rear spring

My stock spring is way too soft. Is there a big difference in the 500 spring?

Go to racetech.com put in your bike info and your info and they will tell you what your spring rate is stock as well as tell you what spring you should be using. Sometimes you find that what you have is correct, but your shock may need service, but either way you will know what you are looking for.

I think if you are over 160 lbs and are under about 50 years in age, the stock spring on that one was too soft before it got some time on it. If you have a spring from a heavier bike available you will know in short order if you like it better. if you are on a tight budget as most are that are riding a bike that is about to turn 20, you may wish to consider cutting your existing spring.

your manual will tell you what the "free length" of your spring should be, and that will tell you a lot about how "sprung" it is.

So I went to racetech and put in my info...... Prety cool .. I need a 7.2 spring and a diet!!! It will be nice to ride with the correct rates front and rear. As soon as the 450 is ready and the weather breaks I will be getting the 250 ready for some vintage racing! It's great to take a 95 to a track and race some same era bikes!!
