Default 95 rear hub on an 88?

I've been having some issues with the rear wheel on my 88 cr250 rebuild. My rim is corroded to the point of being unusable and I bought an entire wheel assy off ebay hoping it would bolt on only to find out the rim and hub were both unusable Every spoke is seized as well. So since I cannot find a 36 spoke 18" rim anywhere and no spoke kits cover that setup anyways, I was wondering if anyone knows if the 95 cr250 (oldest 32 spoke setup I can find) rear hub will work on the 88? I previously thought the 89 was a 32 spoke setup but was gravely mistaken.

A CR500 wheel will work. The rear axle for your bike is the same as any 87 or newer CR500, the rear hub on an 88 CR500 is the same as your 250. In 89 they went to 32 spoke setups on the 500 and some other small changes were made to bearing-bearing width but I'd guess with the correct wheel and bearing spacers you could get it all to work.

Just ordered a 91 cr500 hub off ebay and a warp 9 18" rim and spoke kit from rockymountainatvmc.com. We'll see how it turns out.

91 cr500 hub worked PERFECT! Original 88 250 spacers were exact and mounted right up to the swingarm.
