Alex
I'd love to see your 79, post some man!

Was the 79 the year with the 23" front wheel ?

Yea the color combo with gold wheels and black engine really sets the 87 off, then to top it off it is one heck of a good year... motor, handling and suspension wise.

It took me a few months to find some 87 mags but finally got my hands on MXA and a Dirt Bike shoot out of the 125's.

Thank you my friend !

Once completly done, I'll have to take a pic of it outside in the nice green grass along with my 84 300R , that should make for a cool pic ! (that's not done either)

Man your work is impeccable , ever though about getting into custom restorations or something ? You could make a mint judging by the way you cr & 300r came out

LOL........Yea, a few others have said that too but I'd probably lose $$ because I'm not set up efficeint enough to really motivate and get them done quick and just don't have the room but I do enjoy detailing them as much as I do riding them. sometimes I make improvements on my improvements, I really wish I was not quite so picky because it does take time to maintain the looks once I start riding them and can't stand to have a dirty bike sitting in garage, they just look so worthless then!

Here is a close up of footpeg on 300, that alone took me 90 mintes to do but the fine details is what makes a machine look so darn nice!

Took me a 1/2 hour just to THINK how I wanted it

Knowing that the paint would come off the jagged part quite quick, I polished them first, then cut thin strips of masking tape and taped them off, then when pegs were done I blasted them with clear coat a few times, I'm sure they are one of a kind and that's what I like.
It's just a cheap rattle can job though.

Detailed the swingarm in the same fashion ..........

Sorry, got a bit carried away here but maybe I'll give someone else ideas for there MX bike?

Well its 12:37 Am and I thought i'd take a break from the CR125 restore(in my garage lol)and check this thread out. Damn thats a nice restore on that... I must admit you got some mad skills and to be honest its inspired me to keep working on the CR125 and the Kawasaki KE I have.

I was going to sell the KE to help fund my CR125 but now I decided to keep it.
