I have been questioning if I should sell my 03 crf450 and buy an 02 cr250. For the fact that it would be green stickered and I love the way two strokes handle. My question is would the 250 feel to underpowered compared to my 450. I remember reading the 2002 cr250 engine felt a little enemic in all the magazines. Is it that bad? thanks hondacrf450

I've never rode a CRF450, and never will (just say no to fart bikes, I say!), but my 2002 CR250 doesn't feel anemic at all, at least to me. It was a little soft on the bottom compared to my 2000, but once past that it seemed to pull just fine to me. And if it was, I doubt it will be that way now as I just had Eric Gorr do a "Mo Betta" port job on it for $200. From everything I've read, that should solve any power-related issues quite nicely. I say to go pinger, but I admit that I'm quite biased on the subject.

I do not think you will think the bike lacks in power compared to your 450, but the power delivery is gonna be different. Ryan

i had an 03 crf, and one of my riding friends had an 03 cr250. i would NEVER trade bikes. yes. it feels underpowered. mostly becuase you have to keep the revs up to make good power. if you're riding trails then you would surely not want to switch.

whats wrong with the crf ??- i have a friend who has 1, and it seems to be pretty nice to me, i wouldn't buy 1, but it seems to be a good bike

thats the main reasons y i don't want 1- the maintenance is more difficult, and more expensive- i like the 2 stroke too much, i would never go to a 4 stroke- so what triggered ur change, how long have u had, and how long have u wanted to go back- what do u ride mostly woods or what
