Bike fired and ran OK. I feel like it's too rich down low and I may have not set the float right because even a mild tilt over to either side and gas comes out the small brass tube down by the float drain bolt.

I don't like the looks of all those pits..it would always be
in the back of my mind if a random jump/hit rock, shock to it
that the rim would bust/collapse=long walk home..it just appears being
in compromised/corrosion shape to me... just my IMHO input thought gusco.

I realize I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject and that's why I asked, but staining hardly seems like something that would cause a rim to crack to me. I hit it with some 220 grit and most of it came out.
Now the problem persists of fuel coming out of the overflow in the bottom of the carb when the bike is tipped over and it is running RICH. However, I don't want to try jetting until I've figured out what I think is a fuel level problem.

The more I look at the diagram and think through it, the note I think the O-ring on the needle valve seat may be leaking. I pulled it last night and filled the bowl with water to mess with it and see what makes it leak. It held up much better. However, once installed it started leaking easily (with very little tilt) again. The only thing that's got new second guessing myself is that I blew through the inlet and held the valve needle down and it seemed to seal we'll. Perhaps an auxiliary tank?? Anything else to check or any ideas to get this running decent?? I know the TMX is tough to jet, but I want to get it running decent to help secure the sale.

Welp, not my problem anymore. A local kid picked up the bike despite me telling him the carb wasn't jetted well yet. I gave him a good price ($300 less than my asking price) because I know he'll have to put a little more time and money into the carb.
