Unhappy 1993 Cr125 oil from exhaust

Hey ATM this is my first Thread on here, and it is an extremely helpful site. I have a 1993 CR125 that starts first kick. but when im riding it it blows oil from the exhaust, and when i try to accelarate fast it just doesn't "pick up"(take off like it should) until i hit the powerband. Also when i put the bike away and come back to it the next day, their is black spooge/oil on the swingarm and the floor. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If it helps i changed the oil and it came out grey? Not sure why though, but I no it's not because of the coolant, because its always full and a nice green color. Thanks guys

What is your current jetting and air screw setting. When was the last time the silencer was repacked? The oil you changed is not related to the spooge from your exhaust (unless your right hand crank seal is leaking). The transmission is separate from the engine. The trans fluid is gray because of the clutch. It is normal. Change it often to keep it clean. 125's don't have a lot down low, in general, they need to be ridden in the powerband to be effective.

Thanks for the quick reply RoseCityMadMan. I purchased the bike about a month ago, so im not sure when it was repacked. Also im notbsure about the jetting and air screw, ill have to check tomorrow. But i cleaned the carb after i got it to try and get rid of this problem. This is my third 125. The first was a 1999 Cr125, and I used to ride my brothers 1996 RM125, and they don't do what my 1993 is currently doing. It's like its working it's way up to speed, until the powerband(hard to explain). What does repacking the silencer do? And how would it stop spooge from coming out? Thanks again

What Rose pretty much said the oil you see coming out of your exhaust is the oil that you mixed with your gas. What ratio are you mixing in your bike? If you haven't and don't know about repacking your exhaust you should youtube it then go to you local shop or online and buy some. Oil will come out of your exhaust quite a bit as that is the oil that doesn't get used and just blows out. What I usually do after a ride is take a paper towel and wipe up the oil so it doesn't get all over everything.

For that year you also could have a lot of carbon build up in your pipe which can cause problems but there was a recently thread about way to clean it out. On a 2 stroke you wont really noticed a speed jump until you have hit powerband and stay in it while shifting gears.

The trans fluid should be changed every couple hours of ride time so make sure you are using the right trans fluid for your bike and keep your air filter clean as well.

Hope this helps as well

Repacking will help improve performance from what I heard on a youtube video from some trans world motocross guy. If your packing is all black and oiled like crazy it needs to be changed!

Im running 32:1 in the bike right now. And thanks for the tips about repacking, ill definatley do that first. Is their anyway i could tell if my right side crank seal is shot? Also the oil also comes out of the joint between the silencer and the pipe. Thanks

Don't bother repacking until you address the carburetor otherwise that new packing you bought will be drenched in black oil right after your next ride and you will have wasted time and money
