Default 1991 Cr250r

Hey Guys im new to this forum but ill just get straight to it

i just picked up a 1991 Cr250r Today for $700 bucks, i rode it around and its amazing damn it has power.

i went for another ride and it made a *bluuurrrr bluuurrm blurrmp* and then just stalled, it happened when i was giving it throttle.

is it the spark plug that failed? how can i keep the spark plug from not fouling/failing?

It could be the plug but sounds like carb to me,it was not getting enough fuel so it stalled... clean the carb, put fresh gas, check the plug and you should be alright

I would put a plug in first. It's easier to do than pulling off the carb. As far as not fouling any more plugs, use either NGK of Denso plugs and don't over mix the oil in the gas. Remember, it's a 2 stroke. It will foul plugs. I keep a couple of spares in my air filter box, and I replaced the seat screws with thumb screws so that I can get into the air box even if I'm in the middle of no where.

By the way, a 91 CR250 is a great bike! I love my 90.
