Default 01 cr250 stator question

If 1 pole is slightly unwound and coating is missing with that make the stator not function properly. I checked the resistance and I cant get a reading for the exciter coil. The blue and white wires in the icm.

Im getting no spark.. none~!

Can this stator be bad cause of this pole being messed up and throw NO spark?

I checked coil 1st and secondary. I couldnt get a reading for the secondary primary to cap.

That stator looks suspect to me. That damage is enough to make me replace it.As far as testing and specifications go, all I can say is, consult the manual.

Yes that stator most like is bad and needs replacing.
Did you do an ohms test on the coil?

Yes measured the primary coil resistance between the primary terminal and body ground. This was in spec.. I believe .2 ohms

I then measured the secondary coil resistance between the primary terminal and the plug cap. and my meter didn't show anything.

I measured the Ignition Pulse Gen. and it was within spec also.. 243 ohms.

I measured the Blue and White wire and my meter didn't show anything.

I tried to measure the volts of the Ignition Pulse gen. Again. I got no reading. (Blue Yellow / Green White wires) Kicking the kick starter.

I think I might of got the CDI box slightly wet when I was cleaning my frame.

thanks

Ken

"Yes measured the primary coil resistance between the primary terminal and body ground. This was in spec.. I believe .2 ohms"
Are you sure that was not 20 ohms?
".2" ohms would be too low and would show the coil to have an internal short. If that is the case, you would not generate a spark pulse to the secondary side of the coil.

Can i replace the stater poles. Remove the 3 philips screws and replace the poles with one from a 02 cr? I know the 02 system is diff but can i use the windings/poles. There is a 02 stator on craigslist. So can i remove the windings and reconnect the wires to my system
