Default YZ250 wheel base

Hi there,

i have a question concerning wheel base, I just bought a new cahin and sprocket set.
the chain is way too long o i have to shorten it.
the question is .

what happens to the bikes preformance when i move the axel blocks all the way to the front of the bike as far as they can go. ? will the bike turn faster or not, will it be stablers

What if i move the axel blocks as far back as they can go , creating a longer wheel base, How will the bike turn then?.

In short what effect doe s moveing teh axel block forward and moving them all the way to the rea have.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think with the rear wheel moved forward you will have quicker turning/cornering, but sacrafice some stability at high speed. With the rear wheel further back, turning/cornering is a little less precise, and you gain more high speed stability. In other words..short wheelbase=turning and cornering..long wheelbase=high speed stability.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will give the correct answer.

Yes, it's an old trick to make your bike turn a little quicker. Most people will hardley notice any difference though.
