Default Yz125 power valve

Hi guys, I've got a question to ask you guys..... I have no cover on my power valve, so I looked at it the other day when the bike was running, and notice that there was some oil coming from the power valve. Is that normal?
But don't worry I've just bought a cover for it.

Any help will be appreciated!!

Thank you!

No cover boy thats no good! I think some oil is normal but with no cover I would take it all apart and clean it up before u put the new cover on!

Don't worry about the cover... I made a home made cover for it so the dirt doesn't go in it. But now I will install my new one lol

What could it hurt to run the power valve without the cover. My Valve Fell Out of the motor, im guessing i am missing the holder also. How does this effect the bike? Could it cause damage?

Fix it before you run it again. I'm trying to be nice, but honestly, how on earth would the power valve just fall out and why in the world would you even consider running it that way?!

I really want to hear this explanation as to why he ran the scoot without the power valve cover. I hope he is ready to go through the motor now, too.

lol well you see what had happened was... Buddy of mine, hoped on the bike.. drove first gear a good.. 7 city blocks, full throttle.. blew the gasket out.. i replaced the gasket.. and im guessing i did not fully torque the bolts down.. long story short.. gravel road+3 miles ridding, must of came loose.. lost the cover and the valve.. hell, i ran her for a good 7 months with a home made cover and no valve.. only full throttle worked ofcourse.. but that bike is long gone..
