Default yz125 02' Transmission/clutch problem

my Son just purchase a used bike. It Starts first kick on a cold engine. However, take the bike out of Neutral and in to first the bike stalls due to clutch not disengaging the tranny.

So where should we start. Clutch cable adjustment doesn't do the trick. So any good troubleshooting tips you can refer me to?

Thanks,

Ron

NO cable problem. If I take the cable off with the bike on a stand and using a screwdriver to actuate the lever I still can not get it to disengage.

Unfortunately it looks like your bike is probably in need of a new clutch basket.

If I was you, I would get a Hinson basket. Most durable you can get and is used by most factory teams.
