| Most of the time just the reeds give the ol' cage a little inspection, tell me why you think you need new ones, did you actually look at them?If so what did you see |

| Its entirely up to you and what you want/can afford. Or go with the V-Force setup I think my bike has either the Super Stock or Pro Series reeds on the stock cage. I can't remember what the guy I bought it from told me. |

| I just went through the same sorta thing as you are going through now. My reeds were beginning to develope cracks on the edges, and probably not sealing properly, and thus losing power. I ended up waiting and finding a whole new reed cage off eBay. IMO if you can find a cheap enough reed cage/block the why not? Sposed to increase power and snap so I reckon it seems like a reasonable investment! |

| What kind of bike are you riding (i'm assuming a yz250)??? you won't be going wrong with the rad valve, but it is more than just reeds. it is the reeds, the reed cage and an intake manifold. i just put one on my '05 yz 250, i went with the rad valve because the price was right and it was in stock, none of that "get it in this week" and it comes next week crap. earlier i had put on a pc 304 silencer and got a little more low end and mid. put on the rad valve and wow, got mega mid range and top end. this thing hauls. it signed off early when stock but now pulls hard right through the top. i had come off an '01 yz 426 w/ pipe and an '03 yz 450 cam and with thestock yz 250 powerband i was used to shifting early. now i've got to get used to revving it out as it really pulls down low through the top. i'm very happy with my choice. | Awsome info pwisz. I found out my reeds are fine, but if I get new reeds some time that sounds like the way to go. Thanks |
