Yz 85 performance?

Hi,
I have a yz 85 '03, I was wondering what the best things i can get for it would be. I Have a Fmf power core 2 silencer on it already, so what pipe would be best with that.. fmf fatty or sst, i'm not sure what the difference would be if there is one? I have super stock carbon fiber reeds in it now. Is there anything else that it can use to gain performance.. mainly speed wise.

Porting, v force 3, fmf fatty or pro circuit pipe, new air filter, maybe even big bore.

What brand air filter do you recommend? And how can I learn how to bore out my bike? And by doing this, can I some how mess up my bike?

personally twin-air, you can't big bore it your self, you'll have to send it to some one, I suggest eric gorr.

for that bike I heard that the stock pipe is actually the best you can get for it, I personally run UNI air filters

Try a port and polish, FMF Fatty pipe, V-Force, and the correct gearing.

I bought a fmf fatty and installed that, I actually notice a difference in power - Seems better than the stock pipe.

Me and 5 of my friends rode one with a pc pipe, and then we rode it with a stock pipe and everyone thought the PC was worse over all, but oh well, if you like it that's all that matters

Get it jetted really well. Keep up with the jetting for changing temps etc. Keep the top end fresh and keep fresh tires on it. These things will make much more difference than any pipe.

also consider riding schools, they will make a much bigger difference in your speed than a pipe or porting etc.

well he probably just wants his pipe to look cool , if you want to look cool and to "supposedly" have power gains in some areas of the powerband, get an sst. I had a fatty and it helped down low but that's it.
