Default yz 125 trouble help me please

i have an older style yz 125 and was riding today and the last trip the rear tire locked up i checked the rear brakes and are fine and the bike was making a weird noise when i was finding neutral or when i would get into gear like a grinding noise when i let off the clutch and was crusin at a good speed and it locked up the engine starts and turns over but its like the front small sprocket is locked up and i have no idea what could cause my bike to just stop moving i can start it with the clutch pulled in and when i let off its like the sprocket wont turn and it makes the bike die if anyone has any sugestions i would apreciate it thanks you

what would that look like a clutch disk blowin apart it just boggles my mind on how it will just lock up that front sprocket but the bike will stil start and everything but when i go to take of in a gear it makes a nasty sound and it just wnt go so what would i be lookin for a blown clutch plate i just pulled the cover off but need a clutch puller to take the basket off and plates or is there an easier way to do it let me kno i didnt see any shavings when i pulled the cover of but i havent been able to pull the basket off yet

There are numerous things it could be.

Pull the chain and make sure it's not the rear wheel bearings locked up.

If the rear wheel spins, then it's likely something inside the transmission. It could be a single bearing - like your countershaft bearing.

Doesn't sound good, that's for sure.
