YZ 125 trouble

Well to start off I dont know too much about dirt bikes, and I'm having trouble with my 97' YZ125. Im running 93 octane with amsoil dominator at 44:1, NGK BR8ES plug. I was riding my bike just kinda shut down. Could it just be a fouled plug or what? I sprayed some starting fluid in the carb and it started right off but as the fluid burned off it died.

well i would start a mental check list

it takes spark, gas and comepression to make a motor run, it most likely is NOT compression, cause you would know it right away, your kick starter would basically fall down with out effort

it could be spark, pull out your spark plug, clean it off, put it back in the boot, and hold it against the side off the engine case and have some one kick it over, if your getting good blue spark, then it most likely isn't spark, but you could throw in a new plug for safe measures

that leaves gas for last, is your tank empty? seriously, its embarrassing but it saves hassle, if you have gas, check your connections to the carb, make sure your petcock is working fine, then check your main and slow jets in your carburetor

Never NEVER use starting fluid on a 2-stroke motor
