Default YZ 125 Identification

Hi guys I was wondering if any of you could help me make sure that my yz125 is really a 1987. If you guys know any special specifications about it or any distinct remarks plz tell me, by the way I can't read my vin number on the frame cuz some guy painted over it.(like parts or anything that could make me sure that it's a 1987.) THX ALOT

I say scrape the paint off of the area where the VIN is located and get the number from there.

It's paint man!!! You can't scrape that stuff off! Do you have any idea what kind of problems that will cause? The whole fabric of strength in that frame depends solely on that paint!! Don't go near the paint!!!

My suggestion is to get an elcectron/X-ray microscope to try to identify the letters that have been covered up by the paint.
