Yea, I sure do. I have adjusted both of them, and still trying to get them dialed in.

The air screw you turn out, to make it leaner.

And the idle, you turn it in, to make the idle higher.

Am I correct?

Like Faded said, the cold air is denser. Your bike should run LEANER in cold air, not richer. Dealer should have known this. I bet he asks what color the YZ is. At 6'5" and 230, I would pick up the service guy by the collar and ask him ever so gently to fix my bike.

I vote for fixing the float level and turning the choke off as soon as possible.
I beg to differ, I would agree if I hadn't had it happen to me on several occations. I am telling you that my 250, and my banshee were jetted perfectly, and I mean perfect. And when the plug "fouled" and you pulled it out of the cylinder it didn't look black or fouled, the plug JUST DIDN'T WORK. The spark if there was any at all would jump from the electrode off to the side of the plug instead of where it was supposed to and then if the spark was there at all it was yellow not a sharp blue the way it's supposed to be.

I am not sure if this is what is happening with his or not, but I went thru this over and over and over in cold weather with NGK plugs on 2 different machines, and I my friends am not an idiot, it really happened.

Yea, its gets considerably colder here in Maryland then what cold is in Texas.

Like some morning I would go to ride and it would 20 or so degrees.

Anyways...

Well I went out this morning and fired up my 250 and turned the air screw out 1 and 1/2 turns more, and then turned the idle up till it idled and I turned my choke off at 10 seconds and never fouled a plug.

So I took it around my yard a little bit, and then came back in and put on my helmet, and then rode for another hour or so.

I then turned it off, then kicked back over, 1rst kick fired, and idled and did not foul a plug.

So I parked it up at the shop, and going to work on it as soon as I can feel my fingers. (it was cold outside)

I think Im just going to set the sag and regrease, cause it runs fine now that I screwed the airscrew out like 3 turns.

HAhahah, I sun bathe at 40 degrees during our winters!!

It's 32 here right now, and when I walked outside with a hoodie and my winter coat, I had to take the coat off it felt so warm!

It's funny how your body adapts to this cold weather to where 40 degrees feels like 70 does in the summer.

After reading this entire thread I am convinced that your bike can never be fixed properly.

Accordingly, I would like to demonstrate my kindness by offering you $3,500 for the bike in order to help you recoup your losses.

Seriously, if you attack this problem systematically, there is no way you can NOT fix the problem. You are dealing with three basic systems that interact: air, gas/oil, and spark. It may take a little while to isolate, but for the money you would lose switching bikes, you could have someone do it professionally probably six times over. Though frustrating, also look at it as a challenge that is providing you an excellent learning experience (and who among us can't afford to learn more?).

Good luck.

Ok well I will go step by step of what I did....

1. Alright first thing I did, took out old spark plug.(old one was fouled) Put in new spark plug.
2.Took off fuel line from gas tank to carb, drained my gas tank back into my old Yamalube premix gas tank.
3.Put fuel line back on.
4.Shaked the Yamalube in the gas can for about 5 minutes to make sure its all perfectly mixed and evenly spread out and all that good stuff.
5.Turned out pilot air screw 2 and 1/2 turns.
6.Turned in Idle by 2 and 1/2.
7.Filled tank up half way, turned gas petcok back on
8.Pulled up on choke, took bike off stand
9.Kicked it over, fired 2nd kick
10. Bike idled really high, let it idle that high for about 10 seconds, then took off choke. Bike bogged down with throttle, so I turned choke back on and let it idle for about 10 more seconds.
11.Turned off choke, and gave 1/4 throttle revs for about 3 minutes.
12. Went riding

Then I took a break, and came inside. After about 30 minutes or so, I went back outside started it with the same procedure starting from number 8.

And it did not foul a plug, I came inside again after riding for 10 minutes or so and played some Halo 2. After playing that for an hour or so, went back outside and started it again and it was fine.

So im pretty sure I got it all dialed in, thanks for all your help guys.
