What is you riding ability? What do you predominately ride? MX, trails, HS?

The PC pipe is a good start. I would recommend looking out for a silencer. IMO, they have a greater effect on power improvement rather than pipe. You could either choose a standard size silencer (FMF PC2, Pro Circuit 304) or go for shorter canistered silencer (FMF Shorty, Pro Circuit R304).
This choice depends on where you want more power and snap.

Have you changed jetting for filter? If you haven't then I would try 1 size richer pilot jet. If your mid and up revs are building nicely and bike goes well when you are revving out, I wouldn't touch the main just yet.

Another thing you can do is purchase an aftermarket reed block and reeds. You can choose either Boyesen, V-Force, Carbon Tech etc. If you choose V-Force you must buy the reed block, not just reeds. With Boyesen and the other you can just buy there reeds without need to buy whole block.

I race MX but I play ride in woods. I have the pc pip on it but I havn' really got the chance to jetting it other then the main do to the the cold weather we are having (0-25 degrees) I got a set of new 2000 power valves spring to put in. I was told that will make the dead spot go away in the power band. I also was tring to say away from porting or milling the head. that would cause me to have to run race race. On the reed thing I was told the boyseen reeds are the best for yamaha's but that was by a engine rebuilder.

Yeah you can't go wrong with Boyesen.
I wouldn't ( as you say) worry about internal engine mods unless you are very serious racer with plenty of cash for race gas.

That's the first I've heard of putting 00 springs in a 03.
Well, hope it works. If your bike has a miss or dead spot the 00 spring may fix that as I have never had a miss or dead spot in bike at all.

When you get it in and test it, let us know if it helps or makes any difference. Thanks.

to me suspension is a performance upgrade and a major factor in the riding process so IMO look for fork and shock upgrades

I've got a '95 (supposed to be a very well designed motor) RM 125. It's got a Boyesen RadValve(BTW-I'd recommend this) Boysen Reeds, Boyesen SuperBowl, Wiseco piston, Pro Circuit platinum, pro circuit 304 silencer, dunlop 756's, renthals, and other little stuff, and I'm plenty pleased w/ the power, and it does awesome in the woods.

Boyesen sell reeds that bolt straight up with your stock reed block. However, if you were to purchase the Moto Tasinari V-Force reeds, you also need to purchase the V-Force reed block.

PM psyklone393, as he has the V-Force reeds and block and he is very happy with them.

You dont buy the reeds and block separate. You buy the block and it comes with reeds. You only buy replacement reeds as neccessary. Also Vforces will lead to alot of jetting issues for not alot of performance. You could get it ported and get more power from moto814.com for the same price and not as many jetting issues.

Also as for the Boyesen reeds, if you already have Carbon Fiber reeds dont waste your money.

I have carbon techs in My sons yz125 They are good Have lasted through 3 top ends and are still in excallent shape...Recommend
and did not have to change block, I also recommend only running factory pistons or watch aftermarkets very close!
Sons bike has Aftermarket aluminun pipie and fmf shorty silencer
reeds other than that stock and it's pretty Quick But do recommend running stock pipe with fmf silencer on short tracks
Big pipe hurts bottom end But primo on big tracks!

Ditto. I have the Carbon Tech reeds in my bike, and can't really comment on performance as they were in the bike when I got it. My bike does have slightly more snap than my friend's 99 without carbon reeds. But I can attest there reliability. THey have been in there for about 2.5 years, with no sign of chipping or cracking. Touch wood.

I remember you saying about keeping the stock pipe for more open and flowing tracks. I haven't got to try out my Fatty yet, but I will keep my stock to test against.
