Default VForce 3 on 05 YZ250

I guess this question is more for those that have a newer 03-05 YZ 250 with the Vforce 3. But when you put it on and got the bike jetted properly did it seem like the bike became smoother and not as jumpy? I am trying to find out if I am still off on something but it seems like the hit is gone and the powerband is more linear. Is it because the Vforce fills in that hole in the middle of the powerband that makes you feel that hit? It almost feels like the bike is slower and not as jumpy.

I am running stock Pilot, 1 clip down on the needle and 1 size up on the main. Prior to the Vforce I had to go up 1 size on the pilot, up 1 size on the main due to weather. It's in the 50-60's here. I put in the Vforce and the bike seemed sputter on the bottom and flat in the mid and top so I changed the needle and went down back to stock on the pilot. Now it sounds ok but just feels really smooth but not anymore powerful. And the smoothness is almost slow.

Also I am running the spacer. According to Moto Tassinari your supposed to with this one.

Sorry if this seems stupid but honestly this is my first real 2-stroke.

Default Re: VForce 3 on 05 YZ250

maybe this can help some...i used a reed spacer block and v-force reeds on a 2-stroke atv before.on the one i had,the reed stop was adjustable for either high tension or low.in my case it really picked up the mid thru top end in the high tension setting, and when i tried it in the low tension setting i got the same type results you are describing.if your reed has adjustable tension settings, try changing it.with it set in the low tension it took away power at all points in the rpm range.
may need to change your jetting around again too if you change the setting.
