Default v-force or boyesen reed's?

I have a 2000 yz125 and was wondering what would give me better low-end. A v-force or a boyesen reed? And when you use these do you have to run race gas?

Well reeds don't change the compression ratio so you wouldn't need to use race gas. I've only used boyesen so I can't really compare the two, boyesen's have been around for a very long time so they're proven to be good reeds. Are you talking about the boyesen rad valve or just the reeds? Because v-force reeds are on a performance cage I don't think they fit the stock cage.
But you can buy boyesen's to fit a stock cage.

I have used both on my 99 yz 250 by far if you want the bottom end response you need to go with the v force reed valve system.
You get a new reed cage which has more depth and the valves have ore surface area and they are stiffer to atomize the fuel better to get a crisp bottom end response so hold on tight.
The only thing you need to keep in mind is you may have to go down in the main jet do to the valve system tends to run richer so you will have to take a look at the plug for that golden brown look. Good luck and try not to rip off the back tire.

I too have had only good results using Boyesen. Like Greg said, they have been around forever and have proven to work (think 'McGrath' as well as many others over 30 years). I havent tried the VForce stuff but many swear by them as well. One great thing about Boyesen is that they offer a 100% money back satisfaction guarantee on their products, I dont think MotoTassinari does.

I think from what people have said they both improve reponse just in slightly different RPM of the power.

Here are some dynos for some interesting reading!
Of course it was from the Boyesen site.

i run the vforce in my '99 yz125 and i love it. to be fair, i've never used the boyesen reeds or rad valve. a buddy of mine put a vforce on his '99 yz250 and could tell quite a difference in the way it pulls off the bottom as well as a much crisper throttle response. it's a performance bolt-on i'd recommend, however i would not recommend using the gasket that comes with the vforce. it's been prone to air leaks. instead, use a gasket maker material like rtv or yamabond (rtv is cheaper and works just as well) to seal the reed cage to the intake.

cheers,

-Z
