Get a 125 screamer, you will learn in know time. Get a thumper if you want but do that later. I think everyone needs to have a screamer to learn on, after that it is a matter of preference. |

| My son went from an xr100 to a yz85, and the yz85 is a full race machine,, you may out grow it, or get too heavy for it, but other than that it has all the pop of any 2-stroke racing machine.. the yz85 is designed for riders up to 145lbs and up to about 5'7" once my son hit 5'6" he was almost 15 we moved him up to a YZ125. if you are over 5'4" or 145 moving up to the yz125 should not be too much of a problem. but like others have said,, a 125 racing machine can bite you.. I weigh 195 and have ridden 2-stroke racing 250s and 4-stroke 500s, but now ride a 125, these new 125 racing machines haul, even with someone as heavy as I am riding. | it was a joke, but i can flatfoot an 80 easily now.... ive seen talk about a 125 being tough in the woods....would a 250 with FWW and gnarly pipe (low end) be easier to grow into and have more tame power with the FWW? |

| Get a FWW on a 125. You cant handle a 250 pinger. Hell, I cant handle a 250 pinger, and my 125 is ALWAYS pinned. Ask spitfire As for a 250f, id strongly recommend against it, especially the crf. The yzf seems to be the best bet, and im normally a pro-honda, anti-yami guy. Id still go for a pinger though. |

| you will be fine on a 125. i started out on an rt100, then went to a kx100, and now i have a yz125. the 125 will be harder to ride, with hardly any low end. you could probably even handle a 250. remember, it's you that controls how fast your wrist turns. i rode my freinds cr250 when i still had my rt100. but i would still go for a 125. |

| Go for the 125. i started on riding on a YZ250F and got bored so i turned to 2 smoke and got a 04 YZ125, its so much more fun. my mum has a TTR125 and you cannot compare the 2. the TTR is slow and so sluggish so when you move to a 2 stroke be careful of when the power band comes in cos it will give you a hit. |

| Ha! 2-stroke snap. You cannot beat a 125 MX bike for a first motocross bike! I went from XR75 => DT 175 => YZ125. Even though I had ridden my friends CR125, once I started to get more confident the 125 did get a feisty when I tried things I wasn't really capable of. Watch out they can/do bite. But using common sense (and steady right hand) a 125 is a great bike! Simple, fairly cheap (compared to some other MX bikes), light and you get used to using throttle/clutch to get most out of engine. |

i just recently rode a cr85 and kx100. while there was definetly (sp?) a hit on those bikes, more the kx than the cr, it really didnt surprise me. i was hoping for a more, throw me off the back type of hit rather than just a power surge. i also rode the cr85 in loose terrain (woodchips) on a slight hill, i could barely get the thing into 2nd or 3rd without clutching the hell out of it. should i expect this out of a 125 in the woods too? would a 250 have more low end? |

| The only way you'll know if you'll like a 125 is to either go to to a dealer that has a used one that you can test ride, or just go and buy one.I went from a ttr125 to a yz125 with no problem.just dont go out and twist the throttle real fast befor you get used to the powerband because they will flip backwards pretty quickly. |

| Id go with a 85. I get smoked by my friends ktm 85sx or what ever the two letters are there. My friends 85 is alot faster than his old 90, and still faster than a ttr125l. But that once again proved you can jump from a certian sized 4 stroke, to the same sized 2-stroke. |

| i came from a ttr125 and whent to a yz125. there was a big difference. I was doing small jumps but going as fast as i could on the ttr and when I moved to the yz i could clear all of them. i like the yz alot more than the ttr, but i still like the way you can put around and not worry about getting a fouled plug. also, when i first got the yz, i fould thru 5 plugs. now that i have learned how to ride, it has been 3 months since i have fouled one. |

| Beautifull bike. The pipe looks a little dented and the front fender a little tweaked but other than that it looks very nice. Congradulations. You wont have any problem adjusting to it. You are goin from TT-R125 to YZ125 and I went from a PW80 to a RM125, so youll be fine. -Pintlar- |
