good find brent ...

but i don't like the look for a yamaha. the frame shape reminds me of an earlier kawi.

nothing wrong with aluminum though! unless you're wanting to get it sandblasted ...

Yeah, I don't really like the look of it either. But hey I guess Yami wasn't worried about looks.

It doesn't really look much different than the current bikes. I wonder what the weight savings will be and how it will effect the handling manners.

the thing that looks bad in my opinion is the frame ... rectangular tubing ... yikes. on a side note, who do they have riding that? the clutch lever is way high.

I think it looks cool! :
Still no "Honda style" front brake line though.

I think if they dropped the blue on the frame it may take away from the fuglyness. But really it doesn't look that bad IMO.

This bike was in the Dirt Rider I just got today..they said it will be out for 05ish and I think they said it is a totally new engine, both top and bottom-end?? Man those 125 motors look so small compared to my 250......

The new case is heaps different from mine! Very small and compact! One thing I wish Yamaha would introduce on all there MXers is a one piece radiator shroud. Like honda! Swingarm also looks really skinny.

Is it aluminum or is it steel??? Maybe there is a reason it is painted? It seems pretty light duty for aluminum, especially not being perimeter.
Let's see...one piece shrouds(like Honda)/unpainted aluminum frame(like Honda)/Front brakeline(like Honda). Hmmm, I'll stick with the YZ!:

Hmm... Interesting. I think that's pretty thin for aluminum though... But they know what they are doing so it should be interesting.

FFR, I have to agree with the others, I don't care for their gas tank having stickers on it. That would be cool if they didn't have them. AND Why no CR routing on the brake line??? Man they really are the Honda haters. Everyone else does it, but they don't for some reason. I understand that you wouldn't care either ways FFR since you don't run them anyway, but the normal MX rider would benefit from it. Just seems stupid to me.

I think what I was getting at is each brand has their own ideas of what is best. If not we would have 5 colors on the same bike.

Yeah your correct there. Nothing wrong with differences. Not sure if the brake routing makes sense, but hey whatever... I ride red anyway, so who cares... BUT I wouldn't rule out blue or any other color on my future purchases though.
