Default shopping list for ring job

I am going to do the rings on my 04, what do I need aside from rings, gaskets and new circlips? Should I bother honing the cylinder or wait until I do the piston in the winter?

Seems to me, if your cylinder is plated, you're not supposed to hone it. Although I could be wrong.

Make sure that you don't hone your cylinder... It's plated, and if it's damaged it will need to be bored and possibly sleaved.

I normally replace the piston at the same time, to ensure that it doesn't warp.

unless you are replacing the piston, you don't need to change the circlips. the circlips hold the wrist pin inside the piston and on the rod. a ring job should only require coolant, rings, and a topend gasket set- about 50 dollars worth of parts if you buy good coolant. ($15-coolant $12- ring $25- gasket kit)
