I was told that after they, Factory Pro Riders, were done with their practice bikes they were destroyed, in both ways. The riders beat the bikes to death and then the Factorys junked the bikes. If it were really a complete actuall bike MC rode Yamaha would have something to say about it. Think about what is done to a factory motor. All the secrets and this and that. I would call BS on it having all the trick parts. JMO

It's hard to say. With no feedback and not a dealership or supplier name it's hard to tell what the seller is like. A couple of emails querying could help. I guess it would be easy to get those graphics, chain, sprocket, pipe silencer etc to make it look like his bike. But in my opinion I would say it;s real. Probably wrong though! The one thing that makes me say this is, that seller uses PayPal. PayPal is an eBay company. If you pay for this bike through PayPal and do not receive the bike, you can fight it and get your money back. Therefore, the seller who uses PayPal would know this.

one more thing....how many pros ride with the stock front brake system? Wrap under the forks and stock size front rotor? Jeremy may have riden this bike...who knows but it doesn't have the factory items on it like when he rode it.

Yeh it's likely that HE did ride it, but I highly doubt it is how he originally has it set-up. For example, Pro Circuit would not just leave the specially designed factory pipe on the bike for the public to use, and possible somebody copy. If there was anything of secrecy on it, it would be destroyed or removed.

It very well may have been his practice bike at one time. But this I know for fact, when they release a practice bike to a factory rider, they do so with NO factory unobtainables. So, at one time, this bike may have had "works" forks and shock, and even a warmed over motor, but once the bike is up for sale, all of the "good" stuff is DEFINATELY returned to the factory. That being said, the bike is probable as good as new in every way, meaning, the forks and shock were probably not even broken in yet, and the motor was probably maintained to perfection (minus any real factory hardware). So bid away, but know you arent getting anything more than an aftermarket upgraded YZ for a lot more money than its actually worth because of the McGrath factor. And yes, Jeremy did ride for a short time on the Yamaha with the Bud Light graphics, then he switched to the KTM team (with Bud Light as a sponser still). Correct me if Im wrong, but Im 95% sure of this.

You're right Roostman. MC rode the Yamaha with BudLight Graphics for a bit before switching to the KTM.

Yeah, I know that a lot of Factories give their riders completely stock "practice" bikes. They just give em to the guys and pretty much expect the guys to destroy them. They really don't do much to them. There is no way there are true "works" components on that thing, as the auction claims!

Basically what they do is take the bikes and strip all the Factory parts off them and put them back to stock and sell them. The chassis is stock on a factory bike so all they do is switch the cylinder, head, pipe, and suspension and sell it.

TWMX did an article where they tested Sean Hamblin's factory race bike. The pipe was the Pro Circuit works pipe, and later in the article said that it was the same pipe you can get off of the shelf at PC. The silencer was factory sound, also available to you at PC. Also, it said that all bikes under a Factory awning rely on PC for their pipes. Interesting.... |

Take Chad Reed for example. PC supply his exhuast systems. He uses carbon fibre silencers and specially designed pipes. Look at the pics below. That pipe is supplied by PC. But you can bet your last dollar that the public cannot obtain it! ![]() |

http://www.allthingsmoto.com/photopo...cat=500&page=1 its possible to get some of the factory parts.at least here in japan, when a works rider is finished.the factory gives him his bike as going away present.usually, they end up with at least 1 works bike per year for practice.and they dont have to give them back...
