Default PW auto clutch

Is there any adjustment in the engagement of the clutch on these bikes?? Mine seems to slip a bit before it really hooks up. I know that some slippage is normal, just wondering if there is any way to tighten up the engagement.

I just got this bike running, I posted a whille ago about no spark after redoing the top end. Turned out the sending coil on the magneto was bad. Runs strong now!! Thanks.

Guys sell stiffer springs on Ebay for them, for whatever that's worth.

Hmmm, I am not sure if they are adjustable or not....what is the problem that you are having exactly? Can you explain it in a bit more detail for us?

Thanks everyone for the responses. It's not really a problem, the bike runs and drives fine. I am not familiar with centrifigal clutches but it feels a little sloppy to me. Now, this may be my weight on the little bike or it may just be the way it works.

From a stop or with every gear change the clutch slips then hooks up. I would like the bike to hook up with a little more authority, but maybe it is not possible.

Ahhh you said gear change.....you must have a PW 80 then not a 50.

Can't help with that one, never had one apart I am afraid.
