Default pulling in clutch kills motor

just did a full rebuild on my 2004 yz125. got it running now as soon as i pull in the clutch i hear a little clicking like its hitting something. if i pull it hard it will kill the motor. has anyone have a guess what it could be?
i just bought it so it was DOA when i got it

No great advice but that's definitely not normal, I'd be pulling the clutch side outer case back off and looking over everything to see what the issue is.
