Default Pro cricuit Silencer difference's

What is the difference between the Pro circuit R304 , and the Type 296? I looked on their site and noticed theres a 40 $ difference...any help? ]

EDIT: . . Is it because its a spark arrestor for woods and the Silencer's aren't spark restricted for tracks?

there is no need for a spark arrestor on a track, only for public land, and the spark arrestor would wiegh you and your bike down too much if you are thinking about racing........i got the r304 with a platinum pipe and they are an amazing combo

Huh? Weigh you down, the spark arrestor is not much more weight. The main reason for not running one at the track is due to performance, a straight through race muffler offers a bit more power.

The spark arrestor takes a little bit of horse power, but not bad if you want to ride in state parks.

you might just want to try the silencer if it is just power gains you are looking for. i've heard that the stock pipe is quite good and unless you are looking for the trick factor you get most of the performance gains from the silencer. i replaced the stock silencer for a 304 (not shorty) and got an increase in the lo to mid area of the powerband, then got major increase in my mid and top with a boysen rad valve, major increases where the bike needed it (it fell off on the top end). this was on a 2005 yz 250. food for thought.
