Ok, well now that I used the Theusarus for the word Opinion in Microsoft word to get my title, here is what the real topic is about. I got my first paycheck of this summer, and Im going to save some of it, but Im not working my *** off for nothing, Im going to spend some of it too. Ok, Im thinking numbers/backgrounds, graphics, front tire, some carbon fiber parts possibly, clutch cover, and maybe extra air filter. ![]() ![]() What I need your guys help for is, to pick out what out of those things listed I should get, and also what kind of graphics I should get. I made 710$, then after Taxes and bull**** they steal 150$, and I have 555$ left over. But probally only going to spend 300$ of it. Here is some links to further enhance your opion, comment, observation experience. Graphics: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Can't think of anymore, but I know there is more out there and better ones too. Carbon Fiber: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] If suggestions are made for front tire and numbers, I will probally get thoes through rocky mountain ATV. Clutch Cover: Probally get the GYT-R Hinson one and it can be seen at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Or....anyone have Powdercoating or Anodizing opinions of certain parts let me know as well. I think If I don't get a clutc cover im getting the stock one PC'd black or grey/ Well any comments are welcome...thanks for helping.

| First thing that I always do is the graphics. May I suggest these graphics below. Im not a Yamaha person but these graphics do look sharpe. But for everything else, I personaly would go with whatever fits the budget at the time. | You could use a rear tire too. And if you have money to burn, get a topend kit so you have it when the bike needs it. |

You should like that Kenda Millville,, thats what i have its cheap and hooks up great,,, they wear really nice. Otherwise I had the maxxis IT before and both tires seem about equal. The kenda seemes to have a little more strait line traction! ------Good Choice!

For the graphics you should get the one industries 05' alpha graphics. I have Starcross tires and bridgestone. There good tires. I don't think you need a new clutch cover though. Anything you do to it will get rubbed off by your boots. Save the $ for a carbonfiber skid plate.

The ATM store can get lightspeed carbon fiber products as well as the tires you are considering. PM me if you are interested in some prices on those things. The bike looks nice I think.

Great advise given so far, if you want to stare at your bike. My suggestion is to buy not one but TWO extra filters (my choice is Twin Air but whatever as long as you get some), and plenty of fluids for all applications, then save the rest to have your suspension setup properly for you. If your hellbent on spending, maybe look into an aftermarket top triple clamp (RG3 would be a top choice) to allow for oversize bars like Pro Taper.

I would not spend money on the clutch cover unless you get a ebay deal. I polished mine and it's good to go. Besides....the first thing that has to go on YZ is the cheesy plastic ignition cover! Roostman is right on here. Get your forks revalved (made a huge difference on my 05) , or get a VForce3 (very nice improvement in throttle response). The RG3 clamps are the ultimate.....that is my next purchase. If I get them I will have a black Applied clamp for sale!

This graphics kit is the only way to make a Yami look good! A friend of mine from town has this kit on his 250F and it is very good looking. [IMG]www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/EnlargeImagePopup.jsp?image=3X&skuld=615606[/IMG] And if that doesnt work then here is the link to the graphics kit for sale on Dennis Kirk. Click on photo to enlarge. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and if those two dont work then go to One Industries website, go to the products at top left, and click on bike cosmetics. Then click Yamaha, then under sub category click YZ125/YZ250. Then scroll down for the Hurrican YZ retro kit. It is the yellow yamaha kit. WORTH LOOKING AT, so take the time! -Pintlar- Last edited by pintlermotocros; 07-01-2005 at 02:51 PM.

Two more TwinAir air filters (three total) and then send the top end off to Eric Gorr for a Mo Betta port job. Given a choice between it looking fast and being fast, I choose the latter.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I really do appreciate, thanks. The hurricane kit is a no go, it needs a black tank to make it look non rigged, and I don't have that much to spend for a black tank. RG3 Clamps..no go. Already have went down about 3 times with my cheap little Tusk adpater 30 dollars clamps that adapt 1 and 1/8 bars and they held up fine. Clutch cover, getting the stock one powdercoated black or chrome or something. I suck at polishing... Getting Attackgraphics.com for number backgrounds and numbers. These graphics possibly, probally not though: ![]() And now im probally going to start saving for suspension, I know my bike is undersprung for me, and I think at least a revalve/respring/new fluids would help a lot. Im going to search a good bit, but anyone have susgestions. Would like for it to be reasonably priced, good reputation, and prefer East coast, but I could ship it all the way to Cali if its worth it. Vforce 3...maybe later, right now...no go. Ignition cover....sugestions...plastic stock one is kind of umm, pathetic looking. Ok so outline: Numbers and Backgrounds Suspension revalve/respring/fluids Ignition Cover Front Millville...or other suggestions let me know EDIT*-2 Ready Filters too, forgot about the filters. Thanks all, ATM rocks.

Its mostly cause the time of day I took the picture along with my sisters pretty good quality camera. I did not polish it or anything, only washed it once and put a little WD 40 on a rag and wiped it down. |
