congrats on the bike! I run 32:1 Bel-Ray H1R in my 05 YZ250. The bike went 60+ hours on the stock top end and really could have gone longer. I replaced the piston, rings, top bearing and the bore is good to go. These motors are tough and last a long time if you run the right mix and jet it properly.

This is whre I would reccomend you get a RATIO RITE cup from your dealer. I wouldn't mix more than 2 gallons unless you plan on using it all. After it sits for a while it becomes no good in my opinion.

I storngly suggest you get a manual for your bike. I got one the other day and learned quite a bit! Get the one from yamaha not clymer etc...
To check oil there should be an OIL CHECK BOLT somewhere near the clutch? Mine is right by it. Some should flow out but I never let it drain out all the way to where no more runs out. Check and see the color of it, if it has silver flakes. yada yada.
Good Luck!!

The bolt to drain oil always has a washer.
