| RC's bike is pretty sweet OSF....gonna be hard for the boys in blue to beat him. My prediction is that Bubba and RC will be battling it out this season. BTW...since the 426 now has blank number plates (so sad) "Ole #9" will be the the 250's name. Every bike I have had since 1977 was #9 . Of course I did call the 426 "THE BLUE BEAST" for obvious reasons. The 756's went on the new bike today. I removed the countershaft sprocket cover and low and behold...Yamaha already had a snazzy case saver behind it! One less thing to buy. I should have it ready to go by this weekend. Then comes dialing in the suspension for an old fat man! BTW..OldSchoolFool...what type of oil do you use for premix? |

| Silkolene's a good oil, I'v ran it in my RM, but it's a little more expensive. I bought a gallon of Amsoil Interceptor, and it's been awesome so far(half gallon of oil). |

I'm yet to foul a plug on Amsoil, and I'm a trail rider (not constantly WOT) too. I've only ran Silkolene for 5 gallons of gas, and that didn't foul out my plug either. The only thing that's fouled a plug on my bike, was 28:1 Klotz R50. I'd actually suggest R50 is your a faster (or a gear lower) rider, plus it smells REALLY good! |

| Oh yea, forgot to mention...after running Klotz for a while, when I was putting a new ring on, my piston was in awesome shape, no blowby, no scratches, and was still within spec diameter ways, so I'm guessing Klotz gave me awesome protection! |

| I read the post in the 2-stroke GD about "which oil is best" bbut that is like getting a bunch of people together and asking them which light beer is best. |

As long as it's a good synthetic, you should be fine, any Silkolene, Amsoil, Klotz, should be fine. Just try out some different ones and see what you like the best. |

Then the best smelling one wins! You're not really gonna know which one is best until you do a top-end overhaul and get a good chance to inspect the parts for wear. jm2c |

| The klotz smells good but I ran Motul in my Trials bike. The Klotz kept fouling plugs... even at 100:1 It was designed for higher reving mx bikes though. |

| If I were you I would run Blendzall at 225:1....it smells the best at this ratio.......for a minute!!!! hahahahaha |

| If you want a good-smelling fullly synthetic oil, give Motul 800 a go. Smells like lollies before it goes in. Then the smell of a bike that's running reminds me of a "race smell" for some reason. ?? Just a recommendation. But I am sure you will probably try a couple over time and get used to which keeps your bike running best/cleanest. |

| Congrats! I got mine too back before the snow from hell. I got one outdoor ride, and four indoor rides on it. I love it! Way better than the '03 I just came off of. |

| Best protection and smell is Maxima 927. Hands down. It's what I use in all my 2 strokes. But since you have a powervalve I wouldn't use it because it is not the cleanest oil around. Every tuner I have talked to says it is the best pre-mix oil available. Blendzall would be 2nd. They are both castor based. Believe it or not, for a non-castor based oil, Yamalube 2R is highly recommended. I have also used Mobil MX2T with good results. The Mobil is available at most AutoZones. |
