I was doing a burn out on my 125 becuase I got a new rear tire for free from my freind...I wasnt even at the top of the RPMs in 1st gear and the engine just stoped...I tried kicked it and it sounded kinda wierd...so I tried it again then the kick start just wouldnt move..then I tried pop starting it and all that would happen is that the rear tire would skid...what do you think happend and why????..this sucks its gonna probly cost alot to fix im gonna take the top end apart and see what happend..any ideas? and where can I get a new 134cc piston like I dont see any stores online carrying them...I might need a new cylender neways cuz it might be scored up!! shyt sucks

gee, didnt see that one coming.

Sounds like its seized. You wont know anything until you take it apart. Eric Gorr sells 134 pistons i believe.

I think you siezed the engine. Why?? Because it is a dirt bike and they do that now and again. You'll have to take it apart to see what needs to be replaced. You should be able to get an oversized piston from the guys that sold you the big bore kit for it. Good luck with it.

Can't really tell what exactly caused your seizure just yet. When you pull it apart you can probably get a better idea of what went wrong.

Just a few questions I am wondering.

How long did you let it warm up or idle for?
How long were you doing burn-outs for?

Settle down a bit mate.
He has probably realised the burn-out wasn't the best thing, but he has come here looking for help and advice.

I am not trying to come across the wrong way, but just seemed a bit harsh.
He hasn't said anything to anyone, but just posted a thread wanting some help.

It probably is funny looking but I have to say that from my perspective the funny look would have been right after the motor froze. I wasn't trying to be to harsh, it just appeared that he was being somewhat irresponsible with something that he didn't have the know how to fix. The next step is to say that he came to us in search of the knowledge to fix it, this is true and should have probably been more recognizable by me. But I would like to say that I was raised on a set of rules where I never was allowed to break things or do things that may have hurt them unless I had the money and know how to fix them. I just expect that same amount of maturity from others and sometimes forget that others don't have it.

Yeh, that's fair enough. I understand what you mean!
I am not that mechanically inclined and have learnt most of this site, and my dad can't really help much on my bike. So I have to get the most out of it before I have to fork out for it to get fresh top-end or whatever needs to be done. I actually go without riding if I plan a ride with mates so my bike stays all fresh for that organised ride.

WE lived out of town and can't just take my bike in whenever it needs something all the time. I have learnt to appreciate my bike. LOL, my bike wouldn't even a graphics set on now if it wasn't for the bargains on eBay!

Ok today I took the top end apart...I got the head off and seen that the piston ring was half off and half on..so I was glad that it wasnt a big problem just get new ring and piston right?...noppeee the crank arm wont rotate..it moves side to side but doesnt move up and down...this realy sucks I have no idea how to fix that. Im thinking about just selling the bike but I probly wouldnt get too much for it. How could I fix this?..like what could be happening... :

Your gonna have to split cases to get fix crank or con-rod. Probably a bit of debris from ring/bore has jamned the rod or crank.

Sorry to have to say this, but I think that's what is gonna need to happen.
I have had to replate my cylinder, but never touched crank, yet. (Touch wood)

Best if you take it down to dealer/shop to see what they will do and if you want to pay for it. But your bike is only 5 years old, and if it;s only crank and top-end in need to replacing then, I can't see why you would give up on your bike!

Just gotta save up a bit of that paper stuff....

i just bought a 02 kx 65 to mess around on with the same problem. it only cost me $200 from a friend at a junkyard. i tore it all apart and the crank was pretty much trashed, as is the piston and cylinder. the geniuses at the yard thought it would be fine to mix regular car motor oil with the gas. i just bought a new engine for it for $300 out of a 03. i know a 125 engine would be much more, though.

My 125 blew and isnt moving

well, if it blew up, it sure wont move will it LMAO

just kidding man, i know what it feels like to do a job like this to a motor. it cost me over a thousand dollars for my blaster when i blew it up. the parts list was huge. just a few were a new left case, piston, rings, labor(mondo$$$) re-bore & polish. it was a nice penny, but well worth it to have a professional tear into it and fix it. i was glad i didnt need a head though. i hope ya get it fixed and wont kill the bank for ya. good luck
