interchangeble parts 01 to 99 yz 250 questions !!

Hello,

i own a 99 yz 250 and bought me a couple of parts from a 2001 yz250

frame with alu subframe tank seat and airbox.

I like to use the frame and subframe because the are powdercoated and it's the lighter subframe.

Does anybody know wich parts fit my 99 yz250?

If I remember correctly, there wasn't much difference between the 99 and 01. That means just about all of the parts should fit. I do know the front number plate and fender are different but that is all I can really think of off the top of my head.

I second what YzErnie said. When you look up parts for a 2001 YZ, most of the parts are listed as 1996 - 2001.

So the frame and subframe should be a simple swap!

I thought i read somewhere that the alu subframe was a bit higher then the 99 ones?

My bike has the suspension of a 2000 model. also the new fender type of mounting.

srry to say, but the frame wont fit!! One of the exhasut pipe mounts is different. It will fix, u just will only have one pipe mount!

i have a 1999 yz 125 with a 2001 cylinder and the pipe is different between those years. Ive ran with one pipe mount for a long time and no problem!!

Everything will bolt right up. You can use just about any parts from YZ's up to 01.
