No I don't have any other 125's to compare it to . As far as plugs go ,it fouled them pretty quick durring break in because of the rich oil/fuel mixture, but after break in I haven't had any foul yet.

As much as I like Yamaha's "all new" YZ125...I am not sure it would make a very good trail bike. They built it for one purpose.....full race motocross. Get a PC pipe and silencer and a VForce and you will have one snappy bike that most riders could not push to it's limits. Gonzo is getting his ported .....very interested to see how it runs after that. Last edited by Satch0922; 03-12-2005 at 07:41 AM.

While I agree it probably isn't the best choice for the trials, its still a awesome ride. Hope you like it bro!!

I just noticed something. Doesn't it look like there is a pattern for pinger and thumper riders that decides which one they ride? Seems like people who ride beginner thumpers always end up on pinger full sized bikes and people who rode pinger when they started usually end up on thumpers. Anyway, good luck with that track being built!

Actuly,At first I was going to get the yz250f.But, when I heard that you were suposed to rebuild it every 30 hours because the piston can cock in the cyclinder and make a giant mess,I sayed "forget it".So I decided to get the 125. even stock It doesn't do bad on the trails, although it could use a bit more bottom end, But I think a few more teeth on the rear sprocket would help out on that. But so far I love it,ad so does my little brother and my dad |

Sweet deal mang. 5 minutes is no problem I'm scared of the 250f maintenance too, but not because of how often, but how expensive. Plus, since I'm buying used, I'm scared I'll get one that hasn't had oil changed enough or something and it sling a rod in a month and I'll end up being in the hole. If a pinger grenades, it's pretty damn cheap though. Just keep that sucker on the pipe
