well a 250 has around 40-50 im not sure and i know thats a big gap but its the best i can do. And if your just riding trails i would get the 250 because its got more power and a 125 doesnt really have any bottom end so its a lot of clutching but the 250 a little heavier. how long you been riding and what was your last bike and how fast do you plan on going.

A 125 has 32-33 stock. A 250f has 33-34. A 250 has 45-46 and a 450 has about the same.

With correct jetting and being at sea level a stock KTM 125 SX breaks the 35 HP barrier, KTM 250 SX will break into 48 hp. A 250 thumper will break in at that 35 hp mark and a 450 will break into that high 49 and 50 hp.

I almost forgot to mention that a 125 will stay really close to a 250 on flat ground in a drage race but if you add a hill in there the 250 will smoke the 125 simply because of torque.

Not stupid at all. Many people wish to lower their bikes. 125's are actually a bit taller then 250's. I lowered my 125 by shaving down the seat foam. It takes 20 mins tops, and is easy to do. You can also buy lowering links like the kouba link, and ive heard of taking some metal out of the subframe. You can also lower it by adjusting the shock, and raising the forks in the trees.
