I have one on order for my 05 YZ250. I'm wondering if anyone runs this on their YZ 250 and what they think about it? Does it make it really deep and throaty? Also is it much louder than stock? Did you gain or lose power up top? Thanks

The Ti silencer is very similar to my shorty....uh....my FMF shorty. It will be a tad louder than the stocker, should add some bottom to mid and the top should be about the same. It has a good sound to it but I'm not sure a 250cc 2 stroke at 8,000 rpm can be deep and throaty!!

I have one on my 125. Same idea I guess. It's pretty much same thing as Standard FMF Shorty, but with titanium stinger and inner core. Makes the bike sound deaper over stock. IMO you only here that "factorish" sound when my bike is WFO and revving right out. It gets a real nice tone to it. Hope this helps.

I put it on and it is a bit louder than stock. It sounds a bit deeper and throatier but it does sound best when I'm on the gas. But it gave a lot of bottom to mid range snap and I didn't lose any over-rev. If anything I gained a bit. It gave it even more throttle responce. The bike pulls like a freight train and the front end just lifts. Thanks for your responces.

Yeah, they are a huge improvement over the stock chimney's. The Shorty's/Ti2's are a great silencer.

Blue, Do you still have the stock pipe on it?? If you really want to wake it up I put an FMF Fatty (kind of like me!!) with the shorty and the difference is impressive. I would suggest you do a plug reading just to be safe and make sure your jetting is still what is should be. Normally you don't have to re-jet with the FMF stuff but I always like to check and make sure.

I'm running a stock pipe. I would like to get a Factory Fatty but I need to save some cash for some frame guards on my brand new 02 RM250. As for the jetting, I think its still perfect. I think the pipe affects the jetting a lot more than the silencer IMO. On my 04 YZ 125 I'm running a Fatty Factory and a FMF Shorty and the jetting is pretty good but I haven't fooled around with the air screw yet and it seems a tad rich off the bottom.
