Default The 'Feel' of a YZ250

I'm researching 250 two strokes and have a question for YZ250 riders. I've ridden a few over the years and the last one I rode was an '01. I always felt uncomfortable riding a YZ. I felt like I was too on top of the bike- with the feeling of falling over, whereas other bike makes feel more like I'm sitting "in" them. Does that makes sense? My question is, do the '04-'05 YZ's feel like this?

i have an 04 yz250 and yes they still feel like your sitting on top of them as many prefer the ergos of the honda feel...like being inside the bike...yami has always been that way i think in the last few models...im not sure of the 05,s but my 04 feels "on top" riding...though i prefer it

It seems like Yami's are some of the best overall bikes out there these days. Excellent quality, built to last, and they've consistently rated well in shootouts over the years. If it wasn't for the feel, I'd probably get a YZ250. But, maybe its worth riding some more to see if I can get used to them. I dunno. I'm so lost hehe

You really should ride one to decide. I like my 05 more and more every time I ride it. The way this bike behaves in the air is sweet! The power is nothing to sneeze at either
