Default electrical issue

OK, I just finished the re doing the top end of my son's pw 80. It won't start so I checked the spark and it is non existant!! Is it possible that I screwed up the electrical system by putting it together wrong?? The thing had super spark before I did the top end. Please help, very frustrated at this point 150 bucks later.

Good question. Hpw can I check? I painted the frame but sanded down the one spot where the ground wire sits, maybe I will go back and check that out first. After waiting so long to re assemble it, I was pretty flushed went she wouldn't lite off. Maybe a fresh day will help out. I wqas just worried that I had put the wires wrong and screwed something up. Bad ground would be nice.

OK, checked out the grounds, the kill switch works fine and the other ground is ok too. I checked the output of the magneto, it registered some voltage, I am not sure of the spec. Also, the CDI box had some output. The only thing not putting out is the coil.

All connections seem fine, no rust or corosion. Now, all signs point to the coil being bad. I don't understand what may have happened to it, as it was fine before the rebuild. Also, if it needs one does anyone know a good(cheap) resource for parts???
