Cylinder base gasket

I'm about to do the top end on my yz 125 and wondering if you should use gasket glue on the base gasket. The manual doesn't mention any glue. Does anyone have experience with or without glue? Thanks

i wouldn not use any. it does not really need any glue.

dont bother with any sealant

clean the gasket surfaces up, torque the bolts down correctly, and you will be fine

Some gaskets have a bead of sealer on them already, I use a small amount of yamabond on my base gasket just to make sure it's sealed but you don't have to.
