Angry Blaster Problems (won't run)

I have a 03 Blaster. I put a new CDI Box, Coil, FMF Exhaust with Core 2 silencer, 28mm Keihin Carb (#230 main jet, also tried a #135), Spark Plug, K & N Filter, and Stator. I bought it without it running, it didn't have a carb with it.

I had the compression tested and its 120-125psi.

I kick it about 25 times and then I get a really big back fire with flames out the exhaust. About the 35th kick it will run for about 10secs and die right away. It needs the choke to start. I have been trying new thing for about 2 months and nothing.

Has anyone heard of this problem? Please help!!!

Thanks

John

Did you make sure your plug was gapped right? I would have this problem after riding in mud/water alot. I'd have to change the oil and put in new gas. Does it fire on your first kick? Or even try to start. Try to turn the fuel/air screw either way to see if it helps. If not, try to lower the clip one notch. Sounds like it could be a cab issue though. Is he carb you put on new, or used?

What is the gap suposed to be. I dosen't even try to start, just a back fire. If it does start it's on the 30-35th kick. And yes it is a new carb. I have the delta force 3 reeds and cage. I noticed today that there is a really small gap in the center reeds. I put the old ones back on, and its the same thing.

Thanks

your compression is supposed to be between 140-160. Did you check for spark with an actual tester to see how good your spark actually is???

Default 1997 Blaster Problems.

Ok i just recently bought my dream fourwheeler I have always wanted since I was little. Its a 1997 yamaha blaster. Heres the Problem.

We can get it crunk and give it a little bit of throttle but when we do get the throttle further she wants to bog down and cut off......I can drive it through second gear and go slow. I put new plugs in it and the dude said he had cleaned the carb out. Where the exhaust connects it smokes somewhere down there......would that be where I need a complete new exhaust?

So adjust the floats so its giving more fuel
