 another dumb question im in the process of getting a manual so all these questions will stop soon. does anybody know the weight of the oil that i should put in a 2000 yz 125?  |

| Re: another dumb question That question has a million and one answers. Search the forum and you will see. However I have a 2000 yz 125 myself and they manual calls for regular motor oil 10w30 or 10w40. Personally I run 15w40 Rotella T. It's cheap (in cost) good quality oil and doesn't have any of the energy efficient modifiers in it that seem to cause a lot of controversy over use with a wet clutch. |

| Re: another dumb question There is also a great write up on transmission oil choices in the 2-stroke Knowledge Base  . The thread is called Transmission Oil Choices, What To Pick. It is very informative and can answer any questions you might have concerning oil weight, energy conserving qualities of the oil, etc. I read it yesterday and it helped me. Hope this helps |
