93 yz 250 forks and engine rebuild time

Default 93 yz 250 forks and engine rebuild time

what parts do i need to redo the forks? both seal leak excessively. its got a wiseco piston in it about 12 13 years ago and its still got good compression but i think its time to put a new one in. where is a good place to buy a piston and rings from?

Forks - it would be a good idea to replace the slider bushings, seals and wipers. The bushings do wear and if they are sloppy, the seals don't stand a chance of surviving.

I recommend using OEM pistons.

I only use OEM. Never once have I had a problem with an OEM piston. I will leave it at that.

FWIW, I have a Wiseco piston in my '94 WR250 and have yet to have a problem.

I have a set of 43mm forks off my 95 yz250, running racetech springs dialed in for a 190lb rider for sale. I upgraded to 46mm 2001 forks, and no longer need em. Looking for around $140 shipped.
